Does the Road Department remove dead animals?
Animal Control is responsible for the removal of smaller animals and may be reached at 505-726-1453. The Livestock Inspector is responsible for the removal of large animals and can be reached through Metro Dispatch at 505-722-2002. The Road Department will assist with the removal of large dead animals if it is a safety issue or if the Livestock inspector is not available.
