How can we get McKinley County to maintain our roads?
McKinley County maintains approximately 500+ miles of road throughout the county. McKinley County adopted a Non-Subdivision Road Work Policy to help citizens (or groups of citizens) in obtaining necessary right-of-way; and then apply for acceptance for road maintenance. In essence, the County will require the citizen or community of citizens to obtain appropriate Right-of-Way and may even require the community of citizens to bring up the Right-of-Way to an appropriate standard prior to acceptance for maintenance. For more information, contact the Road Department.
