1. When can i visit an inmate?

Visitation hours are from Monday - Friday, 9:00 am to 11:00 am and 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Wednesdays are reserved for female inmate visitation only.

2. How soon can i visit an inmate if i was recently released?

You will be able to visit an inmate 90 days after your release date from McKinley County Adult Detention Center.

3. What is the dress code if i want to visit an inmate?

All visitors must be properly attired in pants, shirt and shoes. No tank tops, see through shirts, capri pants, open toed shoes, flip flops or short pants will be allowed. The visitation officer has the right to determine eligibility for all visitors.

4. Can I bring children in to visit thier loved ones?

All minor children need to have a birth certificate and social security card when coming to visit. Copies will not be accepted. Originals only. Children must be between the ages of 3-18. No children under 2 will be allowed in visitation. School ID's are not accepted.

5. What do I need to bring to visit?

All adults need to have a valid ID or Drivers License. We do accept the temporary/paper ID or Drivers License as long as it is not expired.

6. What is your mailing address?

To write to an inmate you will need to put the inmates name, 255 South Boardman, Gallup, NM 87301. Make sure to put your full name and full address on the return section of the envelope or else it will not processed.
